Two induction zones with Booster function
The hob offers 2 induction zones with 180 mm diameter inductors rated at 1,800 W, each of which allows a temporary power boost, Booster (2,000 W). The power can be set across 10 levels (1–9 + Booster), and each zone is controlled independently via a sliding touch control (slider) that ensures precise settings – from melting chocolate on the lowest level to intensive searing of meat on level 9. The zones also automatically adapt to the diameter of your cookware: the recommended pan base diameter is 140–180 mm. For long cooking you will appreciate the continuous low-power heating – on levels 1–3 you can keep food at the ideal temperature for up to 8 hours without wasting energy.
Bridge function – one large surface from a small hob
A small hob does not mean small possibilities. The two zones can be combined into a single Bridge surface measuring 390×180 mm with a power output of 3,000 W, or up to 3,500 W with the Booster activated. You can place round pots of 250 or 280 mm diameter on it as well as an elongated roasting pan of 390×180 mm – all on one enlarged surface with unified controls. You can switch the Bridge function off at any time and use the two zones again as two independent induction zones. The compact format thus combines with the versatility offered by much larger hobs.
Residual heat indicator and automatic shut-off
Each zone is equipped with a residual heat indicator that distinguishes two heat levels – until the indicator goes out, the surface remains hot, so you know exactly when it is safe to touch. The residual heat also works in your favour: place another pan on the still-hot zone and keep cooking without using any energy. If you lose track of time while cooking, the hob takes care of things on its own – it switches off automatically after 8 hours on levels 1–3, after 4 hours on levels 4–6, and after 2 hours on levels 7–9. If you lift the pan off a cooking zone, the appliance interrupts the heat within 2 minutes and switches itself off.
Intuitive controls, timers and Pause function
Each zone has its own sliding touch control (slider), which greatly enhances the comfort and precision of operation. The Pause function pauses cooking with a single touch and resumes according to the original settings after it is restarted – when you are interrupted mid-cook by a phone call, a parcel collection or a visitor at the door, your cooking will not be ruined. There are also two timers that can be used simultaneously with a maximum time of 99 minutes – each can be used as a simple minute timer, or set to switch a specific zone off automatically after the set time has elapsed. The Booster function automatically returns to the original power level after 5 minutes, so you do not have to remember to switch it off. Thanks to the option to limit the maximum power input (2.2 / 2.5 / 2.8 / 3.3 / 3.5 kWh), the hob adapts even to a weaker domestic installation – at a maximum power input of 2.2 kW you can connect it to a standard household installation without needing to upgrade the circuit breaker or rebuild the wiring. What cookware is suitable for an induction hob?
Induction requires cookware with a magnetic base – cast iron, enamel-coated pans, or stainless steel labelled as induction-suitable. Aluminium, copper, glass, ceramic or porcelain without a magnetic base are not suitable. For the Ø 180 mm zones, a pan base diameter of 140–180 mm is recommended.
